A Tracking Receiver Unit (TRU) is portion of the Antenna Control System (ACS) designed to receive signals from a satellite and provide tracking inputs to the Antenna Control System. Antennas are used to transmit or receive electromagnetic signals, and the position of the antenna can have a significant effect on its performance.
CPI offers Tracking Receiver Units supporting a high-quality, cost-effective solution to both steptrack and high performance monopulse satellite tracking applications when paired with CPI Antenna Control Systems. Industry standard tracking outputs support third party Antenna Control Systems and Uplink Power Control (UPC) applications. Various internal and external down conversion options as well as polarization input selection are available depending on the application.
CPI is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for the following equipment:
- Model 253 Tracking Receiver Unit, superseded by the Model 520A
- Model DTR Digital Tracking Receiver Unit, superseded by the Model 550A
