KYMETA Broadband Satellite Plans
Kymeta Broadband service is currently available in four geographical regions: North America, Europe, Middle East, and East Asia. Additional geographies and countries will be added in the future. Satellite coverage maps are provided below.
Initial land-mobile and near-shore service is available in the following countries:

Kymeta Broadband Satellite packages
Kymeta Broadband satellite connectivity for u8 terminals is offered via an iDirect Evolution-based network that aggregates a growing number of satellite providers. Kymeta Broadband satellite connectivity is a 5×2 MIR best-effort service that supports applications such as virtual private networks (VPN), high-definition video transfer, cloud-based software platforms, and autonomous platform management.
Automatic alerts provide notice when the allotment is nearly depleted and customers may choose to pause service, add more data, or upgrade their subscription. During the service period, customers can add services, upgrade subscriptions, and change regions using the Kymeta management application.

The following terms apply to Kymeta Broadband Satellite and packages:
1. Packages are 12 or 24-months terms
a. Satellite services are priced at a single rate globally.
2. Changes to Broadband plans:
a. Customers may upgrade their broadband plan free of charge without restarting the 12 or 24-month term.
b. Customers may downgrade their broadband plan for a fee. Downgrades may be done once every 12-month period. The plan resets to 12-months upon a downgrade.
3. Volume discounts do not apply to Kymeta Broadband.
4. Each package must be accompanied by a Kymeta Support plan ($199).
5. One Kymeta Broadband satellite plan can be purchased per terminal.
Kymeta Connect—service terms
1. General
a. All pricing presented is in U.S. dollars, exclusive of applicable taxes, shipping, and expenses.
b. A customer may purchase only one 12 or 24-month Kymeta Broadband plan per u8 terminal.
c. All Kymeta Broadband plans require a monthly service and support plan which includes the maintenance plan features, pre-paid per term.
d. A plan is maximum information rate (MIR) best effort services; published data rates are rate plan maximums and may vary in different regions and under different conditions.
e. All plans have a 12 or 24-month contract term.
f. Satellite services are priced at a single rate globally.
g. A plan may be deactivated at least 30 days in advance of service stop date. Send deactivation notices to contact@orbitalconnect.com.
h. All plans, are set to automatically renew at the end of the term. To avoid automatic renewal, send a deactivation notice to contact@orbitalconnect.com at least 30 days in advance of renewal date.
i. A service subscription starts from the first calendar day of the month. Billing starts from the activation date or 45 days after the hardware has shipped or been transacted for intangibles.
j. Ending the service prior to plan expiration is subject to an early termination fee (ETF) equal to the value of the monthly fee (hardware + data subscription + service package) times the number of months remaining in the contract.
k. A 12 or 24-month plan may be upgraded to another plan of the same service type at any time without any fee.
l. A 12 or 24-month plan may be downgraded with a fee and contract term reset to 12 months.
m. Kymeta is authorized to temporarily limit the transfer rate at which end-customer can send and receive data over the Kymeta Broadband plan if the end-customer performs upload and download data activity that is excessive
n. A plan does not allow unused data to carry over to the next month nor accumulated from month-to-month.
o. Kymeta reserves to the right to add, change, cancel, or revise plan offerings at any time. Customers on existing plans will be grandfathered in for the duration of the plan or migrated if the new service is of equal or better service and or coverage.
2. Billing:
a. Billing is on a per-terminal basis for individual plans and per pool basis for pooled plans.
b. Billing is issued monthly in advance for 12 or 24-month Kymeta Broadband. Overages are billed at the end of each month for 12 or 24-month subscription plans.
c. Billing is issued quarterly in advance for Kymeta Connect 12-, 24-, and 36-month contracts. The initial Quarterly Payment shall be made prior to product shipment and subsequent payments shall be made at least 10 days before each date quarterly thereafter (hardware, connectivity and service). Overages for Kymeta Connect 12-, 24-, and 36-month contracts will be billed at the end of each quarter.
d. Billing is in 1 GB increments rounded up to the next whole GB at the end of the month.
e. A GB (gigabyte) is defined as 10003 bytes.
f. Billing starts from 0:00 UTC on the Activation Date.
g. Fees may be prorated to align Effective Dates.
3. Payment delays:
a. Payment delays may result in suspension of service.
b. No credit is extended to subscribers with unpaid fees thirty (30) days after the invoice date and will trigger an ETF.
c. A reinstatement fee is assessed for suspended accounts.
