The sat-nms LF20 L-Band Optical Transmitter/Receiver System, manufactured by SatService GmbH, provides a high-performance optical link for analog multi-carrier RF signal transportation over fiber optic media. This system is designed for flexibility and redundancy, making it a robust choice for demanding satellite communication environments.
System Overview
The sat-nms LF20 system includes the LFTX (Optical Transmitter) and LFRX (Optical Receiver) modules, which enable seamless RF signal transmission and reception over fiber optics. These modules are housed in a 19” 3RU rack-mountable chassis, which can accommodate up to 20 LFTX or LFRX cards. The system also supports integration in outdoor cabinets for external applications.
The system offers:
- Multiple frequency band options:
- sat-nms LFTXL/LFRXL: 950–2150 MHz.
- sat-nms LFTXB/LFRXB: 50–2150 MHz.
- sat-nms LFTXO10/LFRXO10: 10 MHz.
- Redundancy capabilities:
- 1:1 redundancy switching (up to 6 redundant links per chassis).
- Support for n:1 redundancy, depending on chassis type.
Key Features
-
High-Density Design:
- Supports up to 20 optical links in a single chassis.
- Optimized for space efficiency in 3RU rack-mounted configurations.
-
Redundancy and Reliability:
- Redundant hot-swappable power supplies for uninterrupted operation.
- 1:1 redundancy switching available via the sat-nms LF-SW switch card.
- All active components (M&C card, optical modules, redundancy switches, power supplies) are hot-swappable.
-
Flexible Configuration Options:
- Compatible with additional modules like:
- 1:4 splitters.
- Combiners.
- Couplers.
- Impedance converters.
- These optional components enhance versatility for different operational needs.
- Compatible with additional modules like:
-
Outdoor and Indoor Use:
- Can be integrated into outdoor cabinets for external environments.
-
Performance and Maintenance:
- Supports high-performance analog multi-carrier RF transportation.
- User-friendly management via Monitoring and Control (M&C) controller card.
