sat-nms ACS3000
The ACS3000 antenna tracking controller from ASC Signal Corporation (formerly Andrew Corporation) can now be upgraded using the Upgrade Kit developed by SatService GmbH. This kit is specifically designed for straightforward on-site replacement. The upgrade retains the original cabinet, frequency inverters, and most of the existing cabling. Only the outdated controller, power supply, and a few individual cables need replacement. All outdoor cables leading to the cabinet can also be reused.
The upgrade kit includes all necessary new cables, which come pre-assembled and ready for use, along with the required mechanical parts. A comprehensive installation manual guides you through the entire replacement process step-by-step, enabling you to complete the upgrade independently.
For enhanced tracking functionality, you can integrate a sat-nms LBRX Beacon Receiver directly into the drive cabinet or use a sat-nms LBRX19 in a 19” rack. This configuration allows the tracking system to receive beacon level information via UDP on the Ethernet interface, transforming your ACS3000 controller cabinet into a fully modernized tracking system. Alternatively, an existing beacon receiver with analog output voltage can also be utilized to implement a step-track system.
The core of this advanced tracking system is the sat-nms ACU-ODM Outdoor Module, which ensures precise tracking for antennas of any size. The integrated software supports both standard step-tracking mode and an improved Adaptive Tracking Algorithm. This algorithm records tracked positions over several days, generating a mathematical model based on the data to predict antenna positioning. This predictive capability minimizes step-track failures and maintains uninterrupted operation even if the beacon receiver fails.
In Program Tracking Mode, the antenna moves along a predefined path specified in a file containing time-stamped azimuth, elevation, and polarization values. These values are typically calculated using external software.
Key Features
- Complete Upgrade Kit contains all cables and mechanical parts for easy on-site integration
- Together with sat-nms LBRX a complete step-track system in one cabinet at the antenna
- Web-based, user-friendly Operator Interface
- HTTP Protocol for external MNC Interface High sophisticated sat-nms ACU-IDU Indoor Unit
