Inmarsat prepaid plans use three geostationary satellite to provide coverage almost anywhere. Each satellite covers up to one-third of the Earth’s surface, and coverage extends from latitudes of approximately -82° to 82°.

- IsatPhone SIM cards can be activated within 1 year of purchase
- The expiration of your IsatPhone SIM card begins when the card is activated
- Maximum expiry period per SIM is 3 years
- Calls are decremented in 20 second increments, text are decremented per mesage
- Calls to check voicemail are considered outgoing calls
- Airtime can be refilled at the then current retail rate of the card you choose, prior to expiry. When you refill, your expiry date is automaticaly extended and you retain your original Inmarsat phone number
- Use the IsatPhone Extension voucher to extend the expiry date for a small fee without having to refill airtime
INMARSAT PREPAID PLANS FOR ISATPHONE SATELLITE PHONES VOICE AND DATA SERVICES.
Inmarsat announced that it now offers global prepaid satellite services for both voice and data via the Inmarsat prepay platform with the introduction of support for voice calls originating in the US and its territories. Through an agreement with Freedom Wireless Holdings Inc., Inmarsat is now the first mobile satellite provider in the world licensed to offer prepaid voice services from the US. Prepaid voice will be available from 1st September 2012 for all existing Inmarsat land and maritime services including IsatPhone Pro™, BGAN™, FleetBroadband™ and FleetPhone™.
Prepaid services are popular with people who work on short term or seasonal projects and prefer not to commit to a contract. “Many customers use satellite services across multiple markets and have been frustrated by being unable to use pre-paid services while in the US and its territorial waters. We are proud to be the first company to deliver a global service. This announcement exemplifies our commitment to meeting our customers’ needs,” said Jim Parm, President of Inmarsat Solutions
These Prepaid Airtime SIM cards and Vouchers are for the Inmarsat IsatPhone Pro and IsatPhone 2. Inmarsat IsatPhone Prepaid Unit Conversion Chart (Units per Minute) Divide the number of units purchased by the conversion rate below to calculate the number of minutes available for that particular service.
