Intelsat FlexMove Plans
Orbital Connect is a reseller through Kymeta for Intelsat FlexMove, a global land mobile 5×2 MIR service that can also be bundled with Kymeta u8 hardware products for commercial communications-on-the-move (COTM) solutions. Intelsat FlexMove service leverages a significant number of Intelsat's HTS and wide-beam satellites for maximum network availability and flexible movement throughout the globe.
- Intelsat FlexMove is designed for users who need global roaming, with the ability to pick up and go without coordination or advanced planning.
- Intelsat FlexMove is compatible with Kymeta u8 terminals equipped with iQ 200, iDirect X7, CX700, or 950mp modems, and a 20 W equivalent BUC.
- Plans allow for upgrades, downgrades, and up to two (2) months of pausing (restrictions apply).
Kymeta terminals sold with Intelsat FlexMove plans come with a one-year Kymeta Maintenance plan. Customers can purchase up to 4 additional years of maintenance plan at $1,139/ year
General terms:
- A one-time activation fee applies per terminal for activating a subscription. Activation fees are not prorated.
- The initial service bill includes the prorated first month service fee, activation fee, and second month of service. Each subsequent month is billed on the first day of the month for the current month’s fees.
- Overages are billed on the first day of the calendar month following the month of the overage transaction.
- All usage (within the data allowance, as well as overage) is billed based on minimum increments of 100 KB. Billing increments are based on Cal Detail Records (CDR)s, and each session’s data is rounded up to the next whole billing increment. Longer sessions may result in multiple CDRs.
- Unused data allowances are not carried over to the next billing period.
- Intelsat FlexMove monthly plans have a minimum 12 or 24-month contract period.
- Contracts renew automatically for the same period as the initial term.
- Monthly subscription service fee minimums are prorated for partial months in the month of activation and deactivation.
- Roll-over of unused data is not allowed.
- Temporary suspension is allowed in 1-month increments for a maximum of 2 months for every 12 months of service. A fee is required along with contract extension by the number of months suspended.
- Plan upgrades take effect on the first day of the following month for requests received by the 15th of the month. Requests received after the 15th of the month are applied on the first day of the second month.
- Plan downgrades take effect on the first day of the following month for requests received by the 15th of the month. Requests received after the 15th of the month are applied on the first day of the second month. Plan downgrades refer to any change that results in a lower monthly fee. Downgrades are charged an administration fee per downgrade request. The contract term restarts for downgraded subscriptions.
- An early termination fee (ETF) applies to customers who deactivate service before completing the minimum contract period. The ETF is equivalent to the monthly plan’s subscription fee multiplied by the remaining months of the minimum contract period.
- Service deactivation requires thirty days prior written notice.
