The OMNI-296 antenna is a dual-band Wi-Fi omni-directional antenna developed by Poynting Antennas.
It can connect to both older Wi-Fi systems and modern dual-band Wi-Fi technologies, making it suitable for resolving channel saturation and improving overall wireless performance and flexibility. It can also be used for point-to-point links in environments with high RF noise and clutter.
The antenna operates across multiple frequency bands, including 2.4 GHz, 3.3 to 4.2 GHz, and 5 to 7.2 GHz, enabling efficient use of the radio spectrum. It delivers a maximum gain of 7 dBi in the 2.4 GHz band and 10 dBi in the 5 GHz band, providing strong and reliable connectivity. It also supports the 3.5 GHz CBRS band, which is used for future 5G applications, with a peak gain of 8 dBi.
The enclosure is made from ABS, a high-impact-resistant plastic that is also resistant to acids and other industrial chemicals. The antenna features an N-Type female connector at its base, allowing connection to a cable of the required type and length.
