The HELI-40 expands the existing HELI antenna range for mining and tunnelling applications. It is a dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi antenna, radiating in both directions (bi-directional), making it suitable for coverage of both frequency bands in mining and other tunnel environments. The HELI-40 is specifically designed for vehicle and equipment mounting, making it well-suited for in-tunnel deployment to support telemetry and mine automation.
The antenna is available in both Left-Hand Circular (LHC) and Right-Hand Circular (RHC) polarisation, enabling optimal decorrelation within a MIMO deployment. The combination of polarisation and frequency diversity enhances MIMO performance and improves RF reliability in mining tunnel environments.
Circular polarisation allows dual-band Wi-Fi signals to propagate effectively around tunnel bends in non-line-of-sight scenarios, resulting in improved link stability and overall performance.
