The Oscilloquartz OSA 5405-S is a compact PTP Grandmaster, NTP server and multisource assured timing platform that integrates GNSS and Iridium STL reception into a single low-power device.
Designed for applications where timing resilience is critical, the OSA 5405-S provides two independent satellite timing technologies. GNSS delivers conventional UTC-traceable timing, while Iridium STL provides an authenticated LEO satellite timing source that can maintain synchronization when GNSS is unavailable or compromised.
Its small footprint, low power consumption and flexible mounting options make it suitable for distributed deployments across telecom, defense, smart grid, data center, transportation, finance and broadcast networks.

GNSS + Iridium STL Resilient Timing
A key advantage of the OSA 5405-S is its ability to combine GNSS and STL as distinct satellite timing sources.
The integrated multi-constellation GNSS receiver supports GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo and provides hardware-based jamming and spoofing detection.
The STL receiver obtains authenticated timing and location information from the Iridium low-earth-orbit constellation. STL can also operate independently in locations where GNSS reception is unavailable, including installations using an indoor STL antenna.
This architecture makes the OSA 5405-S particularly suitable for networks requiring protection against GNSS outages, interference, jamming and spoofing.
