The new FA40 AIS Receiver provides multiple ports for simple connection to NavNet TZtouch/TZtouch2/TZtouch3/TZtouchXL, AIS-capable Radar or Chart Plotter, or your favorite navigation software. AIS is a critical enhancement in congested waterways, or during periods of limited visibility or heavy seas. Information such as vessel name and call sign, position, course, and speed are graphically presented, allowing you to monitor vessel traffic easily. Because it does not require line of sight to function, you can see AIS-equipped vessels on your electronics before you can see them on the water.
The FA40 is an AIS receiver only. It works with nearly any VHF antenna, making installation simple.
