The HELI-31 forms part of a series of Mini-HELI antennas. Despite their compact size, these antennas are designed for demanding environments, making them ideal for mining tunnels where IoT/M2M connectivity is deployed. They can also be used to provide coverage into stopes.
The HELI-31 is an ultra-wideband antenna, radiating in one direction (uni-directional), which makes it suitable for coverage across a wide frequency range of 1700–7200 MHz. These antennas are typically used for IoT deployments within tunnels to provide telemetry and support mine automation.
This wideband helical antenna enables signal propagation around tunnel bends in non-line-of-sight scenarios and offers strong resilience against common signal-obstructing objects such as trains and drilling machinery that may otherwise obscure the tunnel path.
